....A Message from Judy
Hello Everyone, I just wanted to
share a letter of appreciation from Carmella for all who have
helped with our Habitat for Humanity Project.
(Carmella writes...)
My appreciation is extended to all
of you for your support this year with Habitat for
Humanity. Jean Melcher has been very generous with her idea of
a raffle, Carlos personally donated for furnishings, and Betti,
Sharon, Gene, Mike, Bill, Andy, and Richard worked alongside of
me. Thank you also to Judy Zamarro, Les Hatch and Marge Tachna
for your help. We became experts on door sanding and varnishing and
implemented quality control. Trust me, they are
good!
The two families are finishing their
sweat equity hours and are anxiously awaiting their homes which are
in this phase. Yes, there will be a second phase coming this
fall, so, everyone will have a chance to work or tutor. Sr.
Lorraine, 239-657-6242, is in need of wonderful people to Tutor
the mothers who are at home raising their children. Think
about how rewarding teaching could be.
The Habitat Home Store is
in need of volunteers. They are located at 3906-B Tamiami
Trail East and sell quality, resale furniture and furnishings to the
public and all proceeds directly benefit the Habitat program,
239-595-4228.
If you would care to make donations
toward furnishings, please see Judy Zamarro. So far beds and
mattresses have been purchased and are being stored until the big
move in day.
It has been a rewarding season and I
thank you, friends.
Carmella
Judy, I especially want to thank you
and the board for making dreams come true this year for two families
who are willing to work and get ahead in this great country.
God bless all of you,
Carmella.
